Hello everyone!  First post.  I stumbled on this forum after searching for an answer to this problem for the last 2 days.

There are a million ways to change the sorting in pocket outlook after the fact, through 3rd party proggies and changing the 'file as' field contact by contact, but what I want is for my address book to assume 'first, last' sorting for every new contact I make. Whenever I add a new contact or change the name of an old one, the 'file as' field gets set to 'last, first'.

With all the demand for programs that change this after the fact, isn't there someone who's discovered a reg hack to make this a default action?

Thanks.

ya, I want the same... I'm on here to possibly find a few tweeks for all the different applications, and contact list, first name first.
I have over 300 contacts in my directory and have been used to adding them by category in the first name field in other phones. (i.e. DET* John Smith, FAM* John Dow)
anyone have a way to change the last name first name, etc.
Also, changing all the phone types - work, home, cell, etc? It wasn't an issue with my blackberry... now I have to update the phone types... pain in my ass!

Do either of you use Outlook to sync your contacts to your phone?
