It's not sprints fault, it's HTC. They are taking forever to release (maybe even to start developing) the Winmo 6.5 ROM for their devices. I know that I am upset, because they had on Microsoft's Windows Mobile site that they would have it October/November 2009. Now that it's December, they switched it December/January 2010. Man, they need to get on the ball!

That's not entirely true.  Microsoft is the creator of Windows Mobile, HTC devices use either droid or Windows Mobile...Microsoft releases the OS then HTC goes over it...when they feel it works on the device they release it to the phone carriers (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon Wireless).   The carriers are generally the ones that hose up the release...because they are always tweaking the OS, Touchflo etc to there likings...(locking items, getting rid of software they don't want us to use).  If your going to blame anyone, blame them all...it's a trickle effect...and each one takes there time to tweak it.

The 6.1 on the Touch Pro 2 is way better than the original Touch Pro's.....So for the time being I will be happy with it.

So we should be mad at all of them, eh? Lol. Well, at least when I am venting in the future, I will make sure I direct it to the right people and companies.

Sorry to disappoint, but that link does little good for the rest of us that have to keep waiting. I have been checking that website for about 2 1/2 months now, waiting for it to come out. Back in October, it said that the Windows Mobile 6.5 would come out for TP2 in October/November. Now, however, it says December/January 2010. So, they may just continue to push it back forever, who knows... It will probably be a long wait.

I just checked the site referenced in this thread. Right now the Verizon version of Windows Mobile 6.5 is available for the TP2, and from what I saw it will be available for TMobile in March. Sprint shouldn't be that far behind. Come on guys patience...It's a virtue. I just got the touch pro II and I love it!

Mine (with 6.1) has started having unpredictable major lags, to the point of freezes where I have to do the battery thing, and it may need a reset. The Sprint store said they'd update it to 6.5 at the same time if I wanted. Then I talked to someone who had 6.1, updated to 6.5, and said 6.5 seems to run his phone a little slower than 6.1 but now it can't be "downgraded" back to 6.1. That guy was one of the techs in the repair area of the Sprint store whose personal phone is a TP2, so I tended to put a little stock in what he said.

Still haven't decided whether or not to upgrade.
