Just got a TP2 on Spring network and it doesn't seem to have a Sprint Voice Dial capabilty. Am I missing something? Is this something that will be included in the WM6.5 upgrade?

You mean Sprint right?  To answer your question hold down 1 until it dials voicemail...it's called speed dialing by default.  Hopefully that helps!

Not sure if Sprint's voice Dial is the same as Verizon's, but on my TP2, I hold down the green phone key until a voice comes up telling me what to do. From there I can dial just by saying a name or the numbers.

Yes, that's the same on Sprint -- hold down the Talk key for one or two seconds. If you're watching the screen, you'll see a small microphone icon appear at the top with the Notifications, and then you'll hear a voice asking you want you want to do.

The voice dialing key on USCC is also the talk key with about a 2 second push. Figured I'd chime in in case a USCC user came by to check.

I'm the same jan001 who posted above about using the Talk button for voice dialing but now... it no longer works for me! Weird.

I press the button and get two quick beeps. If I don't say anything, I get one more beep after maybe 3 seconds, presumably disconnecting. If, after the first two beeps, I say, "Call 999-9999", it says, "Please repeat". It is not saying that on the speakerphone, but if the phone's near my ear,It doesn't matter how many times I repeat it, whether I lower or raise my voice, move the microphone to a different angle -- nothing.

I'm guessing there's a setting I must have changed somewhere. I've checked it under (All) Settings > Voice Command > Personal, and Phone IS checked there. Any suggestions? Voice dialing is a big deal for me.

Update on my problem, posted immediately above ^^ :

Took the phone to a Sprint store and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. NATURALLY it worked just fine every time I tried it in the store and every time the tech tried it. Apparently, the mic is so sensitive it picks up too much ambient noise, and I realized I was having the problem when I was driving. This morning I tried it again. The first time, it worked but tried to call the wrong contact. The second time, I altered my voice a little bit (slightly raised) and the way I held the phone/mic to speak into it and it worked. Go figure.

Also, something else I stumbled across in the User Guide when it comes to voice dialing: It doesn't say it in so many words, but this is important: If you're trying to tell it to call a contact -- "Call Mom" -- you say, "Call Mom". If you're trying to get it to dial a numeric number as opposed to someone's name, you have to say, "Dial ...", not "Call".

Although I don't remember for sure, that may well have been a big part of my problem. Because of how my last phone worked (have only had my TP2 about 9 days now), I was almost certainly saying, "Call 999-9999" when it wanted the word "Dial". Picky picky but it worked.
